Foreign Minister Miguel Vargas announced that the government of Argentina is now allowing Dominicans that have received a United States B1/B2 or a European Union Schengen C visa to travel to Argentina without having to request a visa to do so. This applies only to those traveling for tourism to Argentina. The visa less travel is for stays of up to 90 days in Argentina.
Dominicans can now use the Sistema de Autorización de Viaje Electrónico (AVE) and apply online for the travel authorization. The online application needs to be made 20 days in advance of the planned travel date.
